Please note we have changed the practice schedule times again as a result of the Covid restrictions!
Registration is still open. Click the register now button to the right!
Our 6&Under and 7/8 Groups are now full. If you have a swimmer in these groups that missed out on registration please email email@example.com. If we are able to accommodate your swimmer by swimming them up or down a group then we will try to do so but cannot guarantee placement at this time.
Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis and a waitlist will be maintained if we reach the capacity required to meet Covid guidelines.
2021 Mandatory Parent Training
Parents, please remember to complete your online Athlete Protection training if you have not already done so!
All adult volunteers (anyone over age 17) must complete Athlete Protection Training. This applies to any adult (parent, guardian, grandparent, etc.) who will be acting in the capacity of a volunteer for a WHALe team at practice or at meets that will be directly interacting with athletes. In most cases this will be at least one adult per registered family in order for you to meet your volunteering requirements!
Training only takes a few minutes! It can be accessed by going to https://swimwhale.com/training
We are asking every (parent, guardian, grandparent, etc.) who will be acting in the capacity of a volunteer for the LAKERS Swim Team to please complete the Athlete Protection Training by Monday April 26th.
Volunteer Opportunity: Meet Judge/Starter & Training Details
In order for us to hold meets this year we NEED parents to complete the Stroke/Turn Judge Training and/or Starter/Referee Official Training. Our swim team is made possible every year thanks to our parent volunteers and we need your help to ensure that we can run these Mock Meets for our kiddos.
This year, there's an advantage because this training is available online and they don't require in person training so please help us make this a great season for your kids by stepping up and completing training so that we have people available to help us run the meets.
Note - every family will need to volunteer in some capacity. This is a great volunteering option as it also helps you to learn the different stroke rules for your swimmers so you can help them in the water too! Since our meets will be split up, we need to have parents trained for every swimmer age group.
Here's the link again: https://swimwhale.com/
